Wikileaks Whistleblower is Person of the Year

The Guardian's 2012 person of the year vote has concluded and the winner, after some rather fishy voting patterns that belied earlier reader comments on the poll, is Bradley Manning, the US whistleblower on trial for leaking state secrets."*
'The Guardian' voters made happily surprising choices for who they thought would be person of the year, including people who fought against overwhelming oppression and a pioneering scientist. Their ultimate choice was Bradley Manning, the soldier who whistle-blew atrocities committed by U.S. soldiers. Cenk Uygur explains why he wholeheartedly supports the readers' decision.
